Using a bakers rack in your home

Years ago, a bakers rack was used for cooling pies, cakes, and other baked goods.  However, over the years, this piece of kitchen “furniture” has taken on many new roles.  For example, a wrought iron bakers rack is ideal for storing extra cookbooks, kitchen appliances, or simply helping to keep things organized.  In fact, many people will add bakers racks to the kitchen as a means of cleaning off the countertop so there is more efficient space.  However, other people have discovered that a baker’s rack is the perfect addition to an outdoor patio or deck for weekend entertaining.

No matter what your reason for choosing a Bakers Rack, you will be astounded by the vast selection offered on the market today.  For example, the wrought iron baker’s rack is always a popular choice.  Made from good material and very strong and durable, this option looks nice, giving the kitchen a warm and inviting appearance.  Depending on the rack you choose, some have motifs such as roosters, apples, flowers, and so on.  Additionally, with wrought iron you can choose from different finishes, one being the burnt copper, which is very popular.

Another great option for a baker’s rack is one that is multifunctional like a Bakers Rack with Storage.  In this case, you might have a design that features drawers and doors or you may like a wine rack on the bottom, a place to hang wine glasses on the top, a cutting board that can be used for cutting or displaying items and a drawer where you can conveniently store utensils.  Both are nice styles of baker’s racks that enhances any décor.  Therefore, if you had a country kitchen or modern kitchen, it would look great in both cases.

Now, if you wanted something that was a bit more rustic or shabby chic, then a wooden bakers rack is a great choice.  You could choose from a natural wood finish with a rich honey color that is adorned with hand painted flowers.  With this, you might consider curved legs with intricate castings and a one-piece shelf for display for storage.  Then, you could go with an all white baker’s rack that has a classic mission style.  Finished with rubbed white, this baker’s rack has that chic look that everyone loves.  This too is designed with or without shelving.

Finally, you might think about adding a decorative bakers rack with a wire mesh shelf and two clear glass shelves.  With lots of iron and scroll work, this rack is beautiful enough for a formal dining room yet functional enough for the kitchen.  Keep in mind that these are just a few of the many wonderful styles you can look for but they all offer something that looks nice and provides far more convenience.
